Cars, Karts & Vans

Vehicles aren't just decorative. They can be used for racing. or sit on your properties, simulate transportation flow, and contribute to your neighborhood's connectivity and appeal.

Types

  • Cars. Sedans, sports cars, classics. Some sports cars (Stock Car Pro Series, historic stock cars) support player-driven manufacturing — Architects design and sell custom versions.
  • Karts. Built for racing. Race for UPX wagers on player-built speedways.
  • Vans & trucks. Higher cargo capacity. More appealing to Uppies, important for future Trade Routes.
  • Semi-trucks. Designed to move the largest amount of cargo. Used in Trade Routes.

Fuel

Vehicles run on SPARKLET. Larger and faster vehicles use more. SPARKLET is covered in the Trade & Earn section.

Racing & Speedways

Racing is one of Upland's most kinetic loops. Build a speedway, host races, and wager UPX. Or race on someone else's track. Upland co-hosts with community members a seasonal racing league where winners can win big prizes, check Upland's Discord for more information.

What you need

  • A vehicle (kart or car).
  • SPARKLET for fuel.
  • UPX for wagers or entry fees.

Speedways

Speedways are player-built tracks placed on properties. Speedway owners host races, set wagers, and earn from race fees. Monuments — Upland's rarest, most unique landmarks — host the official circuits for Upland's racing events.

Upland Racing

Upland also has a dedicated Racing app on iOS and Android with its own race events and partnerships (including Stock Car Pro Series).

Boats & Marinas

Boats extend Upland from land into water. Lakes, bays, and oceans become active zones for exploration and resource collection.

The four vessel classes

  • Skiff. Lakes and nearshore waters. Entry-level.
  • Speed Boat. Same waters, faster.
  • Pilot House. Farther offshore. Unlocks deeper waters.
  • Fishing Yacht. Rare. Deep ocean access. The biggest fish Troves.

Marinas

Marinas are a dedicated property type. They trade like any other property, but only houseboats. The marina where you dock determines the waters you can access — the marina location is a strategic asset on its own.

Planes

Planes are reserved for higher-status Architects and add prestige plus transportation impact to your neighborhoods.

Status unlocks

  • Executive: MVA 100 Sparrow (single-engine, 4-seat recreational aircraft).
  • Chief Executive: MVA 300 Albatross (turboprop, 6-seat commuter).
  • Vice Chair: MVA 500 (6-seat business jet).

Planes count toward transportation appeal. Park them on your property to boost the neighborhood's appeal.
