Gamified Earnings & Seasonal Missions

Gamified Earnings ties active gameplay to future passive yield. Every season, you complete missions. Your performance sets your UPX multiplier for the following season.

How it works

  • Base yield: 4.9% annual yield on all your properties (collected every three hours).
  • Maximum yield: up to 15.2% annual yield for Architects who complete all seasonal missions.
  • Completionist Badge: awarded to Architects who finish every mission. Visible badge plus the maximum multiplier.

The seasons

Blossom, Genesis, Sizzle, Harvest, Wonderland, Frost. Each season ships its own set of missions covering: minting properties, secondary-market buying, placing structures, racing, treasure hunting, visiting cities, raising Resident and Influence Scores, and more.

Strategy

  • Check the seasonal mission list when each season opens (in-game and on /events).
  • Mix easy-win missions (login streaks, basic minting) with harder ones (visiting multiple cities, hitting score thresholds).
  • There is an earnings cap. Log in frequently to collect yields before they hit the maximum.

Notes: Every property earns passive UPX every three hours. Yield rate depends on the property's value and the collections it belongs to. Active players in current seasonal missions can boost yields significantly — see Gamified Earnings in the Trade & Earn section.

Your earnings have a yield cap. This cap ensures you log in frequently to collect your earnings, keeping the in-game economy active. If you hit the cap without collecting, any additional UPX is returned to the community pool.

Metaventures (Player Shops)

A Metaventure is a player-run shop inside Upland. Open one to sell UGC items, vehicles, ornaments, or seeds — and earn UPX or USD from other Architects.

Types of Metaventures

  • Showrooms. Sell UGC structures, vehicles, ornaments, and decor.
  • Factories. Manufacture map assets using SPARKLET. Sell to other Architects.
  • Nurseries. Generate and sell seeds. SPARKLET powers seed generation.
  • Speedways. Host races and earn from race fees.
  • Specialist shops. Themed shops aligned to a creator brand.

How to start one

  1. Own a compatible property (Uplander status or above).
  2. Buy the Metaventure type from the Upland Store.
  3. Submit a Metaventure application through City Hall.
  4. Once approved, build and stock your shop.

Only one Metaventure can exist per property. Plan your builds accordingly.

Sub-merchants

Some Metaventure types support sub-merchants — other Architects who can sell their items through your shop in exchange for a revenue share. Builds a creator economy on top of your shop. Sub-merchants are covered in the Create & Community space.

100% Creator Royalties (UGC)

Designers in Upland keep 100% of UPX royalties on every secondary sale of their UGC. Forever. This is one of the most generous creator-economy models in any game.

What this means

  • You design a kart, an ornament, a structure, or a decor item in the UGC Playground.
  • Your design is manufactured and sold to another Architect.
  • That Architect resells it on the marketplace. You earn UPX royalties on that resale.
  • It resells again. You earn again. Every time. Forever.
