What is Upland?

Upland is the only persistent real-world city-builder where the whole community plays on a shared map. Collect properties, build and customize them, run shops, and trade with other players in a live, player-driven economy.

Mobile or desktop?

Play on iOS or Android , or in a desktop browser. Your progress stays in sync across devices—sign in with the same account and continue anywhere.

What is the best way to get started?

Create your account, claim the welcome bonus, and complete the short tutorial to reach Uplander status. Pick a starter city, buy your first property, complete beginner collections, and join a neighborhood to learn from others. Multiple accounts are not permitted under our Terms of Service.

What does ownership mean in Upland?

You own virtual properties tied to real-world addresses and other digital assets—like cars, wearables, and sports items from partners such as the NFLPA and FIFA. You can hold, use, customize, trade, or sell them within Upland. This ownership is for digital collectibles only; it does not grant rights to the corresponding real-world land and assets.

What are UPX and Sparklet?

UPX is the in-game currency used for gameplay transactions (for example, property purchases and fees). It’s designed for use inside the game and isn’t intended for use outside Upland.
Sparklet powers creation and activity in Upland—building and development, fueling vehicles for travel, and “life” systems. It exists in-game and as a token on supported public blockchains (currently Ethereum and Base). You can bridge Sparklet between Upland and those chains and, where permitted, trade it on external exchanges.

Can I earn real money in Upland?

Players can list eligible digital assets for sale for USD in Upland’s marketplace. Results depend on supply and demand; earnings are not guaranteed. Availability, fees, and any tax obligations vary by region—please review the terms before selling. To withdraw USD, you’ll need to complete identity verification (KYC).

How do I join the community?

Jump into our official Discord to meet city leaders, neighborhood groups, and creators. Follow Upland on X and other social channels for events, drops, and city openings. In-game chats and community-run neighborhood servers make it easy to collaborate.
