São Paulo Expansion Collection Reveal

Don’t forget, on Thursday, June 29th, at 9 AM PT, we’ll reveal Collections for the São Paulo Expansion. Keep in mind that Collections can affect the price of properties, so it's important to verify the values of your marketplace properties before the reveal. To avoid selling them below their collection-modified value, it is recommended to temporarily remove them from the marketplace until the information becomes public and the Collections are revealed.

Collection Reveal Schedule

São Paulo Expansion Collections will be revealed through the following process on Thursday, June 29th:

• Right before the Collection Reveal at around 8:55 AM PT, any unminted properties in São Paulo that are part of Collections will be locked. 
• At 9 AM PT, we will reveal São Paulo Expansion Collections and the Collection Key (which allows players to confirm the Collection on the blockchain) on Discord, In-Game Chat, and as an update to this event post. 
• Unminted properties that match the announced São Paulo Expansion Collections will then be repriced according to the corresponding Collection level they match.
• At 9:30 AM PT, we will unlock the unminted properties that are part of São Paulo Expansion Collections for minting.

Not only are we excited to expand São Paulo in Upland, but we're also hyped to team up with Stock Car Pro Series and the Los Grandes esports organization to bring even more fun to the metaverse! Stock Car Pro Series is a top-tier racing league in Brazil, and Los Grandes is one of the largest esports organizations in Latin America. We can't wait to see what kind of high-octane action they'll both bring to Upland!

For the São Paulo Expansion, we will be opening up seven new neighborhoods: Bom Retiro, Bras, Interlagos, Pinheiros, Republica, Santa Cecilia, and Pari. On the map below, the orange highlighted areas show the expansion neighborhoods, while the green areas indicate the neighborhoods that opened during the first São Paulo property launch.

São Paulo Expansion Stress Test

Help us prepare for the expansion's release by participating in the São Paulo Expansion Stress Test starting on Wednesday, June 21st, at 9 AM PT (Bom Retiro).

• At 9 AM PT, the Stress Test will begin with unlocking all properties in the Bom Retiro neighborhood. Players will be encouraged to mint as many properties as possible during the test to create a high volume of activity. The more you mint, the better your chances of winning!
• At 9:05 AM PT, Treasures will begin to appear on minted properties throughout the neighborhood, with Treasures spawning every 5 minutes. While most Treasures will grant enough UPX rewards to cover send fees, each Treasure has a chance to contain 10,000 UPX! 
• At 9:30 AM PT, the last wave of Treasures will spawn.
• ‍The Stress Test will end at 9:45 AM PT.

Note: Sends will be dropped during the Stress Test to support the ongoing activity. Also, treasures that spawn during this stress test will NOT be visible using the Treasure Hunting Indicator on the property details menu.

Stress Test Giveaway

By participating in the Stress Test, you’ll have the opportunity to win 0.25 Spark! There will be five lucky winners who will receive the Spark reward. Please refer to the section below to learn how you can earn entries into the giveaway.

Earning Giveaway Entries

Earn entries into the São Paulo Expansion Stress Test giveaway by being active in São Paulo during the Stress Test. 

• Each property minted in the selected neighborhood earns five entries into the giveaway, up to a maximum of 15 entries (3 Mints).
• Each Treasure claimed in the selected neighborhood earns five entries into the giveaway, up to a maximum of 15 entries (3 Treasures).
• Each Send to a property within the selected neighborhood earns one entry into the giveaway, up to a maximum of 5 entries (5 Sends).
• Qualifying actions must occur between 9:00 AM PT and 9:45 AM PT.

Expansion Collection Reveal

On Thursday, June 29th, at 9 AM PT, we’ll reveal collections for the São Paulo expansion. As collections may alter a property's price, make sure to double-check your marketplace properties before the reveal to ensure you don’t sell them below the collection-modified value. It may be safer to temporarily remove them from the marketplace before the information is public and the Collections are revealed.

‍Important Note: All collections to this city expansion will be tokenized before the release and will remain unmodified. As cities continue to expand, additional collections will be tokenized in this same process to meet the required collection ranges for each city’s tier. Not all collections tokenized are necessarily for the current expansion.
