Join us on a cross-city tour of historic sites in Upland. Come learn about the history of Upland, from its first minted property to landmarks, metaventures, and more! Along the way, we will share insights about special locations within Upland that truly show the strength of the Upland community. In addition, we are happy to announce that the tour design has been refreshed, creating a more interactive, enhanced multimedia experience.
The Historic Upland Tour starts in Santa Clara on Thursday, June 9th, 2022 at 10:00 AM PT, before making its way across Upland and finishing in Manhattan. Registration for the Historic Upland Tour opens on Wednesday, June 8th, 2022 at 12:00 PM PT and ends 2 hours before the tour begins. Visit every location on this tour before it's over to earn 0.01 Spark!
The Historic Upland Tour will be the first tour to utilize a new, refreshed tour design. While the general mechanics of a tour remain the same, there are some notable improvements such as:
Tours can now be experienced via audio through voiceovers. Hit the music button in the top right to toggle voice overs of each location card. Listen to the luscious voice of X1TheGamer as he narrates each location of the Upland Historic Tour.
Wish you could see more around a specific location? You can now quickly access Street View directly from the tour card. Use the “Street View” button to open up Street View and explore the area from a new perspective.
Each location now has a refreshed layout to improve readability and flexibility in design. Keep an eye out for a more multimedia experience including bigger images, audio, and video.
Gone are the days of typing in a location into the Upland Search. Once you are ready to move to the next location, simply tap “Next” and confirm that you wish to Send your Block Explorer to the next stop. Your Block Explorer will automatically be sent to the next address and you can continue the tour! This feature currently only works for Sends within a city and therefore, you will still need to use the Upland Search to go to the next location once you have landed in a new city.
There is an estimated 60 minutes of travel time for this tour. Please keep in mind that despite traveling to other cities, the Tour details will only be visible when Santa Clara is selected on the Treasures tab in-app. You may need to switch the city selected on the Treasure tab back to Santa Clara to continue the Tour.
Note: Registered participants will receive 30 Sends at the start of the tour and reclaim ~100% of their registration fee throughout the tour. Spark rewards will be dropped after the tour ends.
