The Frost 5 Challenge: 5 Assets. 5 Winners. No Limits.

This season, we’re changing up the Decor Challenge in Upland and we’re keeping it simple. For the Frost 5 Challenge, you get just 5 map assets to work with. That’s the twist. No packed properties, no ornament stacking, no advantage for having the biggest inventory. Just one property, five pieces, and your creativity.

We’re stripping this challenge down to what really matters: how you use space, how your build feels at street level, and whether you can turn a limited set of assets into something people actually want to stop and look at. When every placement counts, creativity takes the lead, and everyone starts on equal footing.

The Rules

One property. One structure. Five map assets. Nothing else. Strip your property down to just the house and place exactly 5 map assets. No other ornaments, no extra decorations, nothing on the property besides your structure and your 5 chosen pieces. Any property you own in Upland is eligible.

That is it. No bonus points for the collection tier. No structure multipliers. No supply scoring. Just pure creativity judged on one thing: did you make something worth looking at?

How to Enter

Entries open Wednesday, March 4th at 9 AM PT and close Wednesday, March 11th at 9 AM PT.

To enter, you must share your build publicly on X (Twitter):

  • Tag @UplandMe
  • Use the hashtag #Frost5Challenge
  • Include at least 3 screenshots (at least one must be POV Mode)
  • Include your property address or link in the post
  • Tell us what 5 assets you used

If it is not posted on X, it does not exist. No exceptions.

Above is an example of the kind of images you should include. You should upload multiple images to be considered.

Why Only 5?

Because constraints create art. Anyone can fill a property with 50 ornaments. It takes real vision to start with a blank canvas and make 5 pieces tell a story. We want to see what you can do when every single placement matters.

Judging

All entries will be reviewed by the Upland Team using POV Mode. We are looking at:

  • Composition and use of space
  • Visual storytelling
  • Originality
  • How it feels to walk past on the street

Top-down views will not be used. This is about the street-level experience.

Prizes

5 assets. 5 winners. Clean and simple.

  • 1st Place: 200,000 UPX
  • 2nd Place: 125,000 UPX
  • 3rd Place: 75,000 UPX
  • 4th Place: 50,000 UPX
  • 5th Place: 50,000 UPX

Note: Because this is a special-format challenge, there will be no Model Home badge awarded this season.
