The Construction Hub Is LIVE: A New Era for Builders Begins Now
March 05, 2026

The wait is over. The Construction Hub, one of the most anticipated building features in Upland, is officially live!
With this launch, construction in Upland takes an important step forward. The Construction Hub introduces a new system that allows players to collaborate on building projects, opening the door for builders, property owners, and entrepreneurs to work together in entirely new ways.
Alongside the launch, new construction vehicles are joining the Upland fleet, and the new construction speed boost tied to those vehicles is set to arrive during Blossom Season!
Let’s take a look at what’s live today, and what’s coming next.
The Construction Hub Is Now Live
The Construction Hub introduces a new way for players to build in Upland by turning construction into a collaborative, player-driven service.
Property owners can now post construction requests, while players who own the required blueprints can accept those contracts and start the build. This opens the door for players to specialize as builders, fulfill projects across cities, and participate in a growing construction economy.

Building Together: Contracting Construction
The Construction Hub also introduces a new way for players to collaborate on development. If you don’t own the blueprint for a specific structure, you can now request another player who does to start the build of that model on your property.
When creating a construction contract, the property owner stakes their Sparklets up front to fund the build. This ensures that once a contract is accepted, the required resources are already secured. If the requestor chooses to cancel the contract before it’s fulfilled, a 5% commission fee from the contract value will be forfeited.
To keep the marketplace balanced, contract pricing cannot be set below a minimum percentage of the suggested market price. This price is calculated dynamically based on two factors: the number of players who own the blueprint for that model, and the construction cost of the structure itself. Models with fewer blueprint owners or higher build costs will naturally carry a higher suggested price.

Fulfilling Contracts
Players who own the required blueprint can accept construction contracts through the Construction Hub. Once accepted, the builder must travel to the property where the construction will take place.
If the builder and the property are located in different cities, the builder will need to use Upland’s simple travel mechanic to reach the destination. During travel time, the contract remains open, meaning another player could potentially accept and fulfill it first.
If both the builder and the property are in the same city, the builder can teleport directly to the property to begin construction. To prevent contract sniping and encourage fair participation, a short cooldown will apply between contract acceptances.

Updated Build Model Interface
Alongside the Construction Hub launch, the build model selection interface has also received a small update.
Previously, every model displayed a “Select” button. After this release, the button will now reflect the player’s access to the blueprint:
- Build: if you own the blueprint and can construct the model yourself
- Request: if you don’t have access and want to create a construction contract
This change makes it easier to immediately understand whether you can build a model directly or need to request help from another player.
Introducing Three New Construction Vehicles
Alongside the launch of the Construction Hub, three brand-new construction vehicles are joining the Upland fleet.
The Excavator
The heavy hitter of the lineup. The Excavator is a powerful machine built for serious construction projects. One important note for racing fans: while the Excavator can technically be selected in races, if chosen the race will not start. This vehicle is built strictly for the job site, not the racetrack.

The Front Loader
Versatile and capable, the Front Loader brings a strong construction presence to your properties while still being fully race-eligible for players who want both functionality and competition potential.

The Mini Front Loader
Compact but capable, the Mini Front Loader is a nimble addition to any builder’s fleet and is also fully race-eligible for players who want their construction vehicles pulling double duty.

Construction Vehicle Boost
Construction vehicle utility is almost here! Set to arrive during Blossom Season(April 1 through May 15), construction vehicles placed on properties will begin providing construction time reductions.
Each unique construction vehicle placed on a property will reduce the time required to construct one building on that property. Unique vehicles stack, meaning the more variety you place, the faster your build times become.
Larger construction vehicles will provide a stronger boost, while smaller vehicles will still deliver meaningful reductions.
Exact boost values will be shared as Blossom Season approaches, but the core mechanic is confirmed: construction vehicles will directly accelerate building times.
Construction Vehicle Bundle Sale

These vehicles are more than just additions to your collection, they will play a direct role in the future of building in Upland, especially with construction vehicle boosts arriving during Blossom Season.

The Bigger Picture
The launch of the Construction Hub marks an important step forward in how development works across Upland.
Construction is becoming more collaborative. Builders can now specialize, property owners have more flexibility when developing their land, and construction vehicles are evolving into tools that directly impact gameplay.
The connection between what you own, what you build, and how quickly you build it is getting stronger with every update.
Welcome to the Construction Hub. Let’s build.
