Semi Truck Trailers and Logistics Centers Are Coming to Upland

Upland is taking another meaningful step toward the future of Trade Routes with the arrival of Semi Truck Trailers and Logistics Centers!

This update gives players a new way to prepare for Trade Routes, expand the utility of their properties, and shape their own path through Upland. At its core, Upland is still built around property ownership, trading, and player choice. Logistics Centers build directly on that foundation by giving owned properties a new commercial purpose, without replacing the many other ways players already engage with the map.

While the full Trade Routes system is still in active development and coming later in 2026, Logistics Centers and Trailers give players an early way to begin preparing their properties and strategy. Some details around capacity, haul outcomes, and Trove discovery will be shared closer to launch.

Build a Trade Route empire, collect Trailers, prepare slowly, wait until Trade Routes go live, or find your own way to connect this system to the properties you already own. The choice is yours. Play how you want.

Logistics Centers

Logistics Centers are the structures players will use to create Trade Routes. Players will be able to place trailers at Logistics Centers, then send Semi Trucks to those centers to simulate trade between neighborhoods and cities as part of future Trade Route activity.

Logistics Center size will play an important role in Trade Routes. Larger structures are expected to handle more trade activity, while smaller structures will handle less, giving players flexibility based on their property footprint and strategy. Final capacity details are still in active development, and we’ll share more specific information as we get closer to the launch of Trade Routes.

Right now, Logistics Centers will be available in two sizes, with more varieties planned over time. These structures are designed to be permanent store items, allowing players to engage with them when they are ready.

Semi Truck Trailers

As previously announced in the Trade Routes update, Trailers are a brand-new type of map asset in Upland and will play an important role in the upcoming Trade Route system. As part of this rollout, every player who owns a Semi Truck at the snapshot on Monday, May 11 at 9 AM PT will receive one free Standard Freight Trailer.

Unlike traditional vehicle attachments, Trailers are standalone map assets. They do not physically connect to Semi Trucks or other vehicles. Instead, players place Trailers at Logistics Centers, where goods are picked up for transport and dropped off as part of Trade Route activity.

The more Trailers a player has placed at their Logistics Centers, the more variety they may be able to access through future Trade Route activity. Exact details around haul variety, Troves, and route outcomes will be shared closer to launch.

Trailer Types

Not all Trailers are built the same. Each Trailer type brings its own mix of rarity, visual identity, and future Trade Route potential. While final Trade Route details are still in development, Trailer rarity will be one of the factors that will influence Trove outcomes in the future Trade Route system.

Standard Freight Trailer

Standard Freight Trailers are the most common trailer type and come with Semi Truck ownership.

On Monday, May 11 at 9 AM PT, a snapshot will be taken. Every player who owns a Semi Truck at that time will receive a Standard Freight Trailer. These trailers give Semi Truck owners a starting point for future Trade Route activity.

Branded Freight Trailers

Branded Freight Trailers are more uncommon and represent a variety of brands within Upland. These trailers offer visual variety while giving players another way to build out their future logistics strategy.

Current branded trailers include:

  • Wallsmart Freight Trailer
  • Parcelhaul Freight Trailer
  • UPXpress Freight Trailer
  • LlamaCola Freight Trailer

More branded trailers may be added over time.

Container Trailer

Container Trailers are rarer than Freight Trailers and give players another distinct Trailer style to collect and place at Logistics Centers. Their rarity will play a role in future Trade Route outcomes, with more details to come closer to launch.

Additional Container Trailer styles may be added in the future.

Oil Tank Trailer

Oil Tank Trailers are the rarest trailer type currently available. Their rarity will be a factor in future Trade Route outcomes, with more details to come as the system continues to develop.

More rare trailer styles may be added over time.

What This Means for Players

Players who want to prepare early can begin collecting Trailers and setting up Logistics Centers now.

Players who prefer to wait can do that too, since Trailers and Logistics Centers are intended to remain available in the store over time. Trade Routes are being built as an additional layer of strategy on top of Upland’s property ownership foundation, not a replacement for existing ways to play.

Trailer Bundle Sale

Trailers are intended to remain available in the store over time, so players do not need to purchase immediately if they prefer to wait until Trade Routes are live.

Because Trailers are map assets, individual inventory drops may have limited quantities. When inventory runs out, additional Trailer inventory is planned to be replenished over time. Specific styles or brands may rotate or be discontinued, but players will continue to have a way to get Trailers directly from the store.

Each Trailer Bundle grants one randomly selected Semi Truck Trailer Map Asset.

Looking Ahead to Trade Routes

Trade Routes are coming to Upland later in 2026, introducing a new way for players to discover Troves and move resources across the map.

Much like Fishing allows players to discover Troves while exploring waterways, Trade Routes will allow players to discover Troves by simulating the transportation of cargo between neighborhoods and cities. Instead of casting a line into the water, players will send vehicles across the road network, searching for opportunity along established trade paths.

This system also brings meaningful utility to cargo vehicles, especially Semi Trucks, which are designed to move the largest amounts of cargo across the Upland map.

This is another step toward a richer, more connected Upland map, while staying true to one of the most important ideas behind the platform:

Own your properties. Shape your strategy. Play how you want.
