You know what’s better than Rio? MORE Rio! To meet the growing demand for international property, we’re going to open up a few more neighborhoods.

There are a total of ~21,400 added properties, including 37% FSA. Neighborhoods include:

To support those who participated in Rio's Expansion, travel to and from Rio's International Terminal is FREE until Thursday, August 11th at 8:30 AM PT!

Regarding Collection Properties, Ultra-Rare Collection properties will not be released with this expansion.

After selling out properties in just two hours, it’s clear: Uplanders can’t get enough of Rio de Janeiro. We can’t blame them! Carnival, architectural wonders, art, and all the Brazilian flavors make Rio one of the most unforgettable cities in Upland.

Expanding Rio was always a part of the plan. Like New York or Los Angeles, this city calls for a phased rollout. So get ready to samba in celebration with us for approximately 20,000 new properties dropping on August 10, 2022 at 8 AM PT (12 PM BRT), in the first Rio property expansion.

If you saw our recent post, we’ve already opened a new Starter Neighborhood in Rio’s Meier district to make room for all the newcomers flocking to this remarkable city. Now with this property expansion, there’s even more Rio to go around. For example, you can complete new Rio Collections or visit Rio’s latest Landmark, Gávea Pequena!

A Note on Collections

As we have announced all Collections in Rio, the release of the additional properties will be a “Standard” release. This means that once minted, eligible properties may be included in Collections. Be sure to do your research now and try to mint Collection Properties when they are unlocked!

Note: Ultra-Rare Collection properties will not be released with this expansion.
