Starting on Tuesday, April 25th at 7 AM PT, travel routes to London will open and airfare to London's international terminals will be free until Thursday, April 27 at 7 AM PT. Once players arrive at the London Heathrow International Airport, players should take the train to London, where the Stress Test will take place. To participate in the London Stress Test, players must arrive in London before it starts on Wednesday, April 26th at 9 AM PT. Important Note: All collections relevant to the city opening will be tokenized before the release and will remain unmodified. City Release Details
The official city release for both London and Birmingham will launch in Upland on Thursday, April 27 at 9 AM PT. In order to ensure we are fully prepared for the launch we will do a stress test in two London neighborhoods (Harrow Road and Queen’s Park) on Wednesday, April 26 at 9 AM PT. We will also be making airfare free to London for all international terminals in Upland starting on Tuesday, April 25 at 7 AM PT and ending on Thursday, April 27 at 7 AM PT.
London is home to over nine million people making it the largest city in the United Kingdom. London classifies as a large-sized, high-priced city according to Upland’s city tier system. When London is released, about 20,000 properties in 35 neighborhoods will be available to all players in the initial opening. More parcels will come later as neighborhoods expand post-launch. About 10% of the properties will be FSA for newer players joining Upland.
To ensure access to affordable property adjacent to London, we’ll be releasing Birmingham; this is a mid-sized and low-priced city. Here we’ll see about 10,000 properties in three neighborhoods will be available to all players. As a Starter City, about 70% of these properties are allocated as FSA. There are plans to expand properties after launch.
