It’s Time to Vote: Q1 2026 SPARKLET Burn Proposal

The next community vote is here.

In Q1 2026, approximately 1.9M SPARKLETwas spent on seed generation and Uppie merges. Based on community feedback, Upland is recommending that this SPARKLET be burned and permanently removed from circulation.

This vote is focused only on what should happen to the approximately 1.9M SPARKLET generated from these Q1 2026 activities. Upland will hold similar votes for future SPARKLET spent through activities.

Existing rewards and incentive pools are currently well-funded, and reducing circulating supply supports the long-term sustainability of SPARKLET. Now, the community is being asked to ratify this recommendation.

Voting Opens: Friday, May 1 at 9:00 AM PT
Voting Closes: Monday, May 4 at 9:00 AM PT

Proposal: Based on community feedback, Upland recommends burning the ~1.9M SPARKLET spent on seed generation and Uppie merges in Q1 2026.

• Vote YES: Burn the approximately 1.9M SPARKLET spent on seed generation and Uppie merges in Q1 2026. This SPARKLET will be permanently removed from circulation.
• Vote NO: Do not burn the SPARKLET. If the community votes no, Upland will return with alternative suggestions for how this SPARKLET should be handled.
