Genesis Week Style: A New Look for Upland, and Something to Wear.

Genesis Week is here, and we’re celebrating with two exciting updates that speak to where Upland has been and where it’s headed next: the return of Upland merch and the launch of our new Upland website.

Merch gives players a new way to represent the community in real life, while the new website creates a clearer, stronger foundation for welcoming future players into Upland. Together, they mark an important step forward as we continue building momentum, expanding the experience, and sharing the Upland vision with the world.

To kick things off, we’re bringing back merch in style with a limited-time Genesis Week shirt made to celebrate the cities, milestones, and community that helped shape Upland.

Uppies Style is the official Upland style store, featuring apparel and accessories made for Architects who want to bring their Upland identity into everyday life.

Players can now browse and purchase Upland gear, with new drops planned on a regular basis. Every piece is designed to feel connected to the world of Uppies, giving players a way to represent who they are in Upland beyond the screen.

The front showcases this year’s Genesis Week design: bold, specific, and available only for this moment. The back lists every city opened in Upland since 2019, honoring the neighborhoods, and communities that have shaped the map into what it is today.

Updated Website

We rebuilt Upland’s website from the ground up with one clear goal: make Upland easier to understand, easier to enter, and easier to get excited about.

For new players, the site now works as a true front door. Getting started is framed in three simple steps: pick a city, claim a property, and build your block. From there, players can explore the six core playstyles. Plan & Build, Trade & Earn, Farm & Tend, Race & Move, Explore & Discover, and Create & Show, to find the part of Upland that fits them best.

The updated Learn section goes deeper for anyone ready to understand how the game connects. It explains property trading as the foundation of Upland, Troves as the layer that ties activity across the map, and the Architect’s Loop in action: create Troves through the activities you enjoy, bring them to service structures, run Recipes, earn rewards, and keep building momentum in your city.

The new site is designed to close the gap between discovering Upland and understanding why it’s worth playing. It gives new players a clearer path in, while setting the stage for the next chapter of growth.

For existing players, the new website is built to be useful between sessions.

The Census is now one click away, giving players a daily-updated view of every neighborhood and every Resident Score. It makes it easier to see which blocks are gaining momentum, which areas need attention, and where opportunity may be emerging next.

The Uppies Market is right there as well, making it simple to browse what’s for sale, check merge progression across the collection, and track which IPUs have surfaced.

Together, these tools turn the website into more than a destination for new players. It is a live resource for the community, giving existing players the information they need to stay connected, make decisions, and keep moving, even when they are not in the app.

The new site also gives Upland’s story a clearer home.

At the center of that story is a simple idea: you are the Architect. The Uppies are the residents, self-aware digital characters beginning to realize that something unusual is happening around them. Streets appear overnight. Buildings rise without permits. The map feels a little too familiar, almost like it matches a place called Earth.

Uppies see the world differently, and they talk about themselves in their own voice: “Scout walked past 5th Street this morning. Scout has questions.”

And Scout is right to wonder. Because the Architects are real. They are the players.

That world now has a place to unfold. For the first time, new players arriving from outside the community can understand not just how Upland works, but what makes it feel alive, before they ever claim their first property.
