Genesis Week Ornament Contest
Let’s get ready to Light It Upland! Genesis Week is coming up and we need your help to make it the best one yet! This year, we want to emphasize the impact of our incredible community, and empower them with tools to create their own value in the Upland ecosystem. In other words, we are inviting our community to “Light it Up,” and tackle the future of the metaverse, head on.
To get us ready for Upland’s annual celebration of the first minted property, we are hosting the Genesis Week Ornament Contest. Players are invited to design and submit their own custom 3D Ornament models and win an exclusive opportunity to have their Ornaments sold in the Upland store!
Genesis Week Ornament Contest
Players are invited to use their creativity to design and submit a structure ornament model that resonates with the theme of “Light it Upland.” This design is to take the form of a “hologram” that will be projected from the structure’s rooftop.
A word from the Design team regarding the "Projection Object”:
Let's leave the creativity of the 'Floating Projection Object' up to the creator. It can be any 3D object that reflects 'what Upland means to the player'. Some ideas could be UPX Coins, House Keys, Treasure Chests, Pinatas, Cars, Llamas, Jewels, Gems, Animals, Musical Instruments, Outdoor Decor, Indoor Decor, etc. - this is their chance to create a distinct floating jewel in Uplands Sky!
Creators are invited to customize the following:
- Projector base & ray of light
- Floating Projection Object
Similar to other design contests, once models have been approved by the Upland team, the Upland community will be able to vote on their favorites to be brought into the metaverse. We are looking to accept one model for each of the 7 existing structure models, for a total of 7 winners! To discuss the contest with other players and collaborate, please join us on Discord in the #genesis-ornament-contest channel!
Players with the winning models will have the rare opportunity to have their Ornaments sold directly in the Upland store and will receive 70% of the UPX revenue generated from their sales. Pricing for each Ornament will be determined by the Upland team based on the circulation of model types.
Players can start submitting Ornaments today, and entries will close on Wednesday, May 4th, at 11:59 PM PT. The Upland team will be reviewing models as they are submitting to ensure that all requirements are met. If there are issues with your submission, the Upland team will reach out and give you an opportunity to fix any errors. Please note, to limit stress on Upland operational resources, we will only be accepting one submission per player for this event.
