Construction Boost Is Almost Here: Get Ready to Speed Up Your Builds
April 23, 2026

With Construction Boost expected to go live in the next two weeks, today’s overview is all about helping players get ready. As a platform built around property ownership and development, this feature adds another layer to how players grow and improve their presence across Upland.
We’re also giving the community another opportunity to pick up one of the vehicles that will play a key role in this new gameplay ahead of launch. With Construction Boost almost here, now is the time to get familiar with how it works and prepare to make the most of it.
What Are Construction Vehicles?
Construction Vehicles are some of the hardest-working vehicles in Upland. They represent the infrastructure behind every great city, and soon they’ll become playable assets that help players build smarter and faster.
Once the feature goes live, placing these vehicles on properties under development will reduce total build times, giving players who own and deploy them a meaningful advantage.
This is only the beginning. A future update will allow players to offer their vehicles’ services to others, opening up even more opportunities to grow a business around mobile construction support. That feature is still in development and will arrive after the initial boost launch for personal structures.

How Construction Boost Will Work
When Construction Boost goes live, players who own eligible construction vehicles will be able to place them on a property they own to activate a build-time reduction.
This boost lowers the total time required for a structure to finish construction. If a structure already has the maximum amount of Sparklet applied, the vehicle boost will go beyond that limit and speed construction up even further.
Players will be able to tell when a property is receiving a boost by clicking on it and looking for the green indicator button that shows the property is boosted. In the Manage Construction screen, players will also be able to compare the build time with the boost applied versus the original construction time without it.

How Much of a Boost?
Construction vehicles fall into three size categories: large, medium, and small, with larger vehicles providing a stronger individual boost than smaller ones.
That means vehicles like the Mobile Crane, Cement Mixer, and Dump Hauler will deliver the highest individual construction boost, while medium and small construction vehicles provide progressively smaller benefits.

This example shows multiple construction vehicles stacked on a property. Final construction times will vary based on the vehicles used and the amount stacked.
Rather than relying on a single flat value, Construction Boost is designed as a system that takes vehicle typeandstacking into account. While we’re not sharing the exact formula behind the system, players will be able to clearly see the impact of boosts in the Manage Construction screen.
What matters most is that larger vehicles provide a greater boost on their own, and combining vehicles strategically can reduce build times even further.
Stacking Vehicles for Bigger Benefits
Each unique construction vehicle can be stacked with others. For example, if a player places a Mobile Crane, Dump Hauler, Cement Mixer, and Bobcat on the same property, all four vehicles will stack to further reduce the total build time.
Stacking duplicate vehicles works a little differently.
Duplicate vehicles only begin stacking after three unique vehicles have been placed. For ease of reference, we call this group of three vehicles a crew.
For example, placing two Mobile Cranes on a property will not create an additional boost on its own. Only one of those cranes will activate.
However, if a player has already placed a full crew, such as a Mobile Crane, Cement Mixer, and Dump Hauler, then adding a second Mobile Cranewill stack successfully. The same applies to adding a second Cement Mixer or Dump Hauler. Once a second crew is established, players can continue stacking additional matching vehicles in the same way.
Another Chance to Pick Up Construction Vehicles
To help players prepare for this feature, we’re offering another opportunity to purchase construction vehicles before Construction Boost goes live.
This time, the sale will work a little differently. In previous sales, construction vehicles were bundled together and players had a random chance of receiving one of three vehicles. For this release, the vehicles will be sold separately, giving players the ability to go after the specific one they want.
More construction vehicle sales and additional vehicle types are planned for the future, but for now this is a fresh chance to pick up these heavy haulers ahead of launch.
