City Evolution: Kansas City Unlocks Properties and the New East Coast Modular Structure

City Evolution continues to move forward, and this time the focus is on Kansas City. We’re excited to share the release of previously locked properties in this historic city, along with the debut of Upland’s newest Mixed Use structure: the East Coast Modular Apartments: Mobile Phone Store.

These properties have been locked for over a year as part of the City Lock program. Their return marks the first step in reintroducing locked cities in a more measured and accessible way. Players can expect additional unlocks in the future as more City Evolution packs roll out.

City Evolution: Kansas City

As part of our ongoingCity Evolutionsapproach, we’re reintroducing 1,800 previously locked properties in Kansas City, a curated selection from the over 25,000 total properties in the city.

Unavailable for over a year, these properties return as a focused release designed to help Kansas City grow at a more sustainable pace. While there are no guaranteed collection properties in this drop, players who purchase a Kansas City Deluxe Bundle will have a 10% chance to receive a collection property, adding an exciting element of discovery for those looking to take their expansion a step further.

The potential collection reward is part of a Standard Collection, earned by owning 3 properties in Shoal Creek in Kansas City.

Both bundles will be available in limited quantities in the Upland Store, with sales running over the weekend. Unsold properties will be removed at the end of the sale and reintroduced in a future drop.

With a mobile phone storefront on the ground floor, Uppies can stop by to get their devices upgraded, repaired, or replaced, while residential units sit above, bringing everyday city life into the heart of the metaverse.

Just like the Main Street Edition apartments, this structure is fully modular, ideal for stacking and combining into larger, customized builds. It is region-locked to North America, with more region-specific variants on the way.
